Market Research Manager

Market Research Manager role involves the responsibility of handling overall execution of the research projects from conception through delivery (understanding of the need of the project, work with client teams and other senior members of the team to execute the project, data analysis, and drafting insights. Independently, manage research projects for the client. This includes both quantitative and qualitative and sensory evaluations

A. Project Coordination

• Manage day-to-day project-related inquiries, ensuring timely response and availability to client teams as per their needs.

B. Primary Research Support (Quantitative and Qualitative)

• Work with insight managers to set up primary research projects for the client (quantitative or qualitative).
• Work with insight managers on preparing supplier briefing, proposal gathering and closure on the supplier as needed. Liaise between the marketing team and the supplier on final clarifications on the requirements before project commencement.
• Work closely with insight teams to prepare the questionnaires / survey instruments around quantitative and qualitative studies.
• Analyze data once received. Draft report along with insights and story. Ensure business questions have been addressed. If vendor shared report, review the final report and ensure the insights are well written, aligning with business objectives. Work with insight teams to finalize reports.
• Develop reports on varied topics of the client’s interest, synthesizing information from a wide variety of internal documents (primary, syndicated sources, desk research-based sources etc.) and develop insights that are immediately actionable for the client.

C. Sensory Evaluation

• Designing and conducting sensory evaluations

  (assessing attributes like taste, smell, texture, and appearance), analyzing data, and translating findings into actionable insights for product development and improvement.

Other Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day project-related inquiries, ensuring timely response and availability to client teams as per their needs.
• Preparing process documents and documenting best practices as needed
• Working with an offshore team as required
• Providing bi-weekly status updates and reports to offshore team lead (at C5i) and red flags if any copying the manager

• Lead the team in adopting AI-driven design tools

  to accelerate workflows and expand creative possibilities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Social Science, Business Administration, or Marketing.
• A Master's degree (MBA or MA in Social Science) with a specialization in research, marketing, or quantitative analysis is highly preferred.

Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of overall research experience is essential.
• Prior experience in Sensory research is mandatory.
• Understanding and experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is required.
