Manufacturing Manager – Semi-Solid & Liquid Equipment

Job Purpose

To lead and oversee the complete Semi-Solid & Liquid Manufacturing division, ensuring efficient production planning, quality output, process optimisation, and on-time delivery of equipment.

Reports to:

Principal Responsibilities:

·      Lead production operations for Semi-Solid, Liquid, Ointment, and Compounding Vessel manufacturing.

·      Develop and execute production plans to achieve delivery timelines and quality benchmarks.

·      Oversee fabrication, assembly, testing, and documentation activities in line with cGMP and customer requirements.

·      Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce rework, and optimise resource utilisation.

·      Ensure adherence to safety protocols, engineering standards, and regulatory norms.

·      Coordinate with Design, Procurement, QC, Planning, and Service teams for seamless project execution.

·      Drive vendor development, cost optimisation, and material planning for vessels and equipment.

·      Conduct technical reviews, FAT support, and customer interactions for project progress.

·      Mentor and guide the manufacturing team; ensure skill enhancement and workforce discipline.

·      Prepare MIS reports, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement culture across the division.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Behaviours

• Education:

  Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production. Management degree is an added advantage.

• Experience:

  07 – 12 years in capital equipment manufacturing, ideally in Pharma, Chemical, Food & allied industry.

• Knowledge:

  Market trends, Product & process know-how, vessel fabrication processes, welding standards, finishing, and assembly processes, Technical drawings, Costing drivers

• Skills:

  Strong technical understanding, Production planning & scheduling, Process optimisation, Quality control & inspection skills, People management, Cross-functional coordination, Safety-first mindset, Time management & multi-project handling, Problem-solving and root-cause analysis, effective communication

• Behaviours:
