About Precious Metals Chemistry

Purpose of the Role

Drive top-line and bottom-line growth for Umicore India Pvt. Ltd. through strategic sales and business development of Precious Metal Catalysts, Contact & Power Technology materials, and Zinc materials. Manage warehouse sales profitably and execute market strategies across diverse segments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and expand business for:Precious Metal Catalysts (Homogeneous & Inorganic)Electrical Contact & Brazing MaterialsZinc Dust & Zinc Oxide for coatings, pharma, agrochemicals, and feedNew Umicore products (PEM, JIM, IBP)Execute closed-loop models for catalyst recyclingConduct market research and strategy executionManage warehouse sales and local inventorySupport sourcing of industrial by-products for global contractsBuild and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits and reporting

Strategic Focus (1–3 Years)

Stabilize and grow PMC business across target segmentsLaunch and support new Umicore businesses in IndiaExpand 3rd party supplier base and portfolioDrive revenue and profitability growth in alignment with Country Management

Key Interfaces

  • Internal: Country GM, BU Managers, Finance, Customer Service
  • External: Senior/Middle Management in Procurement, Operations, Technology, Industry Associations

Candidate Profile

  • Education: Chemical Engineer
  • Experience: 10–12 years in B2B sales & business development, preferably in Catalysts/Precious Metals
  • Skills: Strong techno-commercial acumen, team leadership, inventory management
  • Personal Attributes: High integrity, proactive, disciplined, collaborative, and adaptable
