Job Description


Role Summary :

The Manager Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, managing key client relationships, and developing new business opportunities in freight forwarding and logistics services. The role demands strong commercial acumen, market knowledge, and collaboration with internal teams to achieve short- and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

Sales & Business Development -

  • Drive sales performance to achieve

    minimum 34 times of CTC in revenue for the first year

    .
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Create, manage, and maintain a

    strong and healthy sales pipeline

    in line with company capabilities and service strengths.
  • Identify new business opportunities across air, ocean, road, warehousing, and value-added logistics services.
  • Prepare and present customized solutions and commercial proposals to customers.

Client Relationship Management -

  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Act as a key point of contact for strategic accounts and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, reviews, and business development visits.

Internal Coordination -

  • Work closely with

    Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and Pricing teams

    to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements.
  • Coordinate internal approvals, service feasibility, and rate negotiations.
  • Ensure smooth handover of new accounts to operations teams.

Commercial & Reporting -

  • Manage all commercial activities in line with company policies and profitability targets.
  • Generate and maintain

    sales performance reports, pipeline reports, and forecast reports

    as required by management.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.

Accounts Receivable Management -

  • Take ownership of

    accounts receivable

    for assigned customers.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and follow up on overdue amounts within justified timelines.
  • Coordinate with finance teams to resolve billing or payment disputes

Required Skills & Competencies -

  • Minimum

    4 Plus years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics sales

    (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of international logistics, Incoterms, and supply chain solutions.
  • Excellent

    written and verbal communication skills

    .
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong reporting and forecasting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment..
