Job Description

As a Logistics Manager, you will need to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management along with a minimum of 8-9 years of experience in the field. Your role will involve handling multiple projects independently and possessing comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures. Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes. You will be required to liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers. Additionally, negotiating rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers, selecting carriers/suppliers, and monitoring service against performance criteria will be crucial aspects of your job. It will be your duty to ensure compliance with regulations and laws, meet costs and timeliness targets accurately, and resolve any complaints or issues that customers or vendors may face in a timely manner. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities, resolving inventory discrepancies, and ensuring that inventory and system records are in agreement will also be part of your role. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring that metrics, reports, and process documentation are available, as well as managing and developing a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements. To excel in this role, you should possess strong organizational and leadership skills, be a strong team player, self-starter, and able to motivate others. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders connected with the logistics process, resilience, optimism, and openness to change are essential qualities. Moreover, being a highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally, possessing strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills, and being customer-focused will be key to success in this position.,
