Manager Logistics

Role & responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety among Logistics team.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and distribution teams to ensure seamless workflow.
• Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
• Oversee transportation activities, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight cost negotiation.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
• Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals to achieve departmental goals.
• Implement lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers and third-party logistics providers to optimize supply chain processes.
• Analysing data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and quality standards related to logistics operations
• Implementing best practices in supply chain management to optimize efficiency and reduce lead times.
