Role Purpose

The role holder works with Lead-Safety and responsible for providing guidance to the Project Safety team to drive Safety initiatives for assigned cluster of projects. Ensure implementation of Safety initiatives or programs through driving Safety awareness campaigns/ trainings for project execution team. Ensure timely preparation of draft Safety budget & resource allocation plan for assigned projects. Ensure adherence of Safety policies, SOPs & statutory compliance for the assigned cluster of projects. Provide Safety analytical insights of incident investigations to the relevant stakeholders. Capability building of team on Safety processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely preparation of Safety resource allocation plan & draft Safety budget for the assigned cluster of projects. Create implement execution plan for driving Safety initiatives at assigned cluster of projects.
• Preparation and submission of monthly Safety analytical statistics to Manager.
• Conduct Safety audit, first level root cause analysis for Safety incidents and adherence to Corrective & Preventive Actions compliance record for the assigned cluster of projects.
• Define workflows for Safety SOPs, policies to ensure quick adoption for the assigned cluster of projects.
• Implement the finalized safety action plans at cluster of projects and ensuring adherence to safety related SOPs through periodic safety checks and safety audits.
• Ensure work process improvements through standardization of the process. Bring innovation in the Safety processes through digitalization.
• Ensure timely implementation of Safety initiatives or programs through driving Safety awareness campaigns/ trainings for project execution team.
• Monitoring & ensure timely availability of Safety resources for assigned cluster of projects.
• Ensure timely coordination with Project leadership team for aligning with the Safety initiatives.
• Establish a communication schedule to update all relevant stakeholders regarding Safety initiatives. Ensure providing adequate support Safety project team for delivering Safety deliverables.
• Ensure timely sharing reports and analytics to relevant stakeholders to provide an insight on initiatives and activities.
• Facilitate development and growth of direct and indirect reportees while keeping track of overall project employee engagement and attrition.
• Ensure all the employee grievances are handled in the appropriate manner.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• Bachelor’s in engineering with 9-11 years of experience in Safety management in construction/ manufacturing industry.
• Experience of having worked in the area of safety management across Production/ Supply Chain/ Quality Assurance functions.
