Manager
within PwC’s Product Development & Manufacturing (PD&M) practice, you will lead teams that help clients modernize and optimize their end-to-end product development and engineering organizations. You will shape and deliver complex transformation programs that integrate Digital Engineering (DE), advanced product lifecycle technologies, and operational excellence to accelerate innovation and drive measurable business outcomes.You will oversee multidisciplinary consulting engagements across industries such as Industrial Manufacturing, Technology, Life Sciences, and Consumer Markets—guiding clients as they adopt data-driven decision making, agile engineering practices, and scalable digital product platforms. Managers are responsible for solution design, client leadership, quality assurance, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Engagement Management
- Own workstreams and/or full project delivery from planning through execution, ensuring high-quality outputs and measurable value creation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to directors, VPs, and engineering leaders across R&D, product development, and manufacturing.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable transformation roadmaps, operating models, and technology implementation plans.
- Manage client expectations, facilitate executive-level discussions, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
Digital Engineering Strategy & Transformation
- Lead the definition of future-state product development capabilities—including digital thread strategy, PLM/ALM/PPM modernization, MBSE adoption, model-based design, and connected engineering ecosystems.
- Oversee discovery and assessment activities to identify inefficiencies, capability gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Architect solutions leveraging cloud-based engineering environments, data platforms, and integrated lifecycle tools.
- Lead workshops, value-stream mapping sessions, and cross-functional design sessions to redesign engineering workflows.
Technical & Analytical Leadership
- Provide direction on solution architecture and system integration, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technology capabilities.
- Advise on tool selection, configuration strategies, and implementation approaches across PLM, ALM, PPM, and DE platforms.
People Leadership & Firm Contribution
- Manage, mentor, and coach Senior Associates and Associates; and support skill development.
- Contribute to practice development through thought leadership, accelerators, methodologies, and go-to-market offerings.
- Support business development activities including proposal creation, client pursuit discussions, and opportunity identification.
