About the Role
We are looking for aManger to support and manage the Urban WSH Field at Dasra through a variety ofstrategic and operational efforts. As a manager, you will drive strategicplanning exercises to determine WSHs long-term goals and identify pathways forexecution alongside various verticals within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Oversight
- Drive Urban WSHTeams strategic goals and targets and articulate pathways to achieve andexceed the same.
- Develop andmanage operational plans for Urban WSHs team of 15+ individuals, determiningshort- and long-term trajectories for each independent vertical and holdingaccountability for driving performance efficiency, and achievement ofdeliverabl
- Understand andengage with the field of urban sanitation in India, keeping in mind thesectors growth and evolution and taking an inclusive approach to all planningand activities
- Nurturerelationships with various sector players and partners to drive program goalsand identify opportunities for alignment and collaboration
Operational Support
- Support theconsistent implementation of team objectives and initiatives, with continuouslearning and oversight for quality delivery
- Oversee criticalstakeholder engagement processes, including identification of new or potentialpartnership opportunities, being lead presenter at meetings, putting togetherdetailed proposals and closing opportunities
- Build, manage andexecute on NGO partners and identify new avenues to build strategicsector-level partnerships
- Manage reporting,record-keeping and financial data management, maintaining confidentiality andeffectiveness in your approach
People Management
- Build thecapacity of direct reports and the wide team and consultants to consistentlydeliver high-quality work
- Work with andproject teams pulling on resources from across various verticals to createhigh-quality, impact-driven projects for the sector
- Offer continualmentorship and support to the team, acting as a role model and guide for thework ethic, commitment and overall leadership
- Identify andimplement processes to ensure optimal performance within the team and provideday-to-day guidance and support wherever required

We are looking for someone who is dedicated to the cause ofinclusive sanitation and service delivery to the most vulnerable, capable andexceeds expectations when meeting the requirements of internal and externaldemands, with high energy levels, and who naturally builds strong workingrelationships. The candidate should be result oriented with a strong sense ofownership.
Specifically, we are looking for someone with:
- 8-9+ years ofwork experience (can include prior experience within the sector, as well as inAdvisory, Program Management, client relationship management roles etc)
- Strong experienceof working with senior leaders from various backgrounds and fields, with theability to communicate clearly and effectively to showcase the programs uniquevalue propositions. Practices attentive and active listening and can accuratelyrestate the opinions of others even they disagree.
- Stellar planningand organizing skills, with good time management skills and the ability toprioritize amidst various sometimes conflicting priorities. Excellent teamworking skills, with proven contribution to team goals and objectives.
- Prior experienceindependently managing a team/division with end-to-end responsibility andaccountability.
- An analyticalapproach to problem-solving and a solutions mindset, with the ability to scopethe complexity of activities and processes
- T he ability tothink strategically and innovatively, and identify and pivot with shifting marketand sector trends
