Description
Title : Civil Manager Location : Bangalore Experience : 10-15 years Qualification : BE/ B Tech Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight & Management: Oversee and manage all civil-related activities for Greenfield brewery projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints from initiation to completion. Act as the primary point of contact for all civil engineering matters on the project. Collaboration & Design: Collaborate with civil consultants to plan and design the civil layout for the brewery, ensuring alignment with project objectives and safety regulations. Evaluate the feasibility of proposed civil layouts and suggest improvements where necessary. Coordinate between civil consultants and OEMs to finalize layouts and ensure their alignment with technical specifications. Cost Estimation & Budget Management: Prepare accurate cost estimations for civil activities based on the approved layouts and project scope. Assist in managing the civil work budget and monitor project expenditures to ensure the project remains on track financially. Technical Review & Validation: Review and validate technical documents such as Civil Load Diagrams (CLD), Foundation drawings, Good for Construction drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and other civil engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Ensure civil designs meet the project’s specifications, safety standards, and local building codes. Preparation and evaluation of Civil BOQs and Tender Documents. Construction Monitoring & Quality Control: Monitor construction progress and quality on-site, ensuring compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Work closely with the site team to oversee the execution of civil works, providing technical support as needed. Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential risks associated with civil works, including safety, quality, and project delays, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. Proactively address and resolve any technical or operational challenges during the project lifecycle to maintain smooth project execution. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all civil works comply with local building codes, regulations, environmental standards, and sustainability guidelines. Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable local regulations and ensure full compliance across all aspects of the project. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports, updates, and technical documentation to project stakeholders including senior management. Coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines, deliverables, and expectations. Sustainability: Proficiency in green by design through green buildings is key. The ideal candidate will incorporate sustainable practices in the design and execution phases to minimize environmental impact and optimize energy and resource usage. Advocate for the adoption of sustainable materials, renewable energy solutions, and eco-friendly construction techniques, aligning the project with industry-leading green building standards. Vendor & Contractor Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate, select, and manage civil contractors and vendors.
