Manager Civil

Associate will be responsible for managing all Civil engineering-related operations and infrastructure maintenance across a 45-acres of TCS Ltd. Bhubaneshwar campus. The role requires strong Technical acumen, Project management skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure the infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Civil & Structural Engineering

• Review and interpret civil/structural drawings, architectural layouts, and BOQs for project implementation.
• Ensure design compliance with IS codes, NBC, and relevant statutory norms.
• Supervise civil project execution including building finishes, flooring, roofing, waterproofing, drainage, pavement, and structural works.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor workmanship, safety, quality compliance, and progress.
• Review structural adequacy for repair, renovation, and retrofitting works in IT campuses and office premises.
• Prepare work method statements, technical specifications, quality checklists, and material approval sheets.

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Coordinate all phases of project execution including planning, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
• Prepare project schedules, monitor site progress, and ensure timely completion.
• Oversee vendors/contractors for timely mobilization, quality control, and adherence to SLAs.
• Conduct daily/weekly progress reviews and prepare MIS reports.

1. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Liaise with Electrical, HVAC, Fire Protection, Plumbing, STP/WTP, and BMS teams for integrated project delivery.
• Coordinate with IT infrastructure, security systems, and networking teams for site readiness & MEP service routes.
• Facilitate smooth execution by collaborating with facility management, procurement, and administration teams.

1. Facility Management & Maintenance

• Support preventive and corrective maintenance of building facilities including structural and architectural elements.
• Conduct routine campus inspections to identify civil, plumbing, and safety issues and ensure timely closure.
• Assist in space planning, office reconfiguration, and fit-out projects for new seating arrangements.

1. Vendor & Contract Management

• Prepare tender specifications, BOQs, SOWs and technical evaluation for vendor selection.
• Ensure compliance to company standards, HSE guidelines, statutory regulations, and contract terms.
• Verify contractor bills, measurement sheets, and material consumption sheets.

1. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance to quality, safety, and environmental norms across project sites.
• Maintain all project documentation – drawings, permits, QC reports, inspection logs, approvals, and handover files.
• Liaise with authorities for approvals related to civil works as required.

1. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Assist in project budget preparation, cost estimation, and financial planning.
• Track project spends, optimize resource utilization, and prevent cost overruns.

1. Health, Safety & Sustainability

• Promote safe construction practices, conduct toolbox talks and site safety audits.
• Support green-building initiatives, energy-efficient designs, and sustainability guidelines for facilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory); M.Tech preferred.
• 6–10 years of experience in civil infrastructure management, preferably in large campuses or SEZs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and civil engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety, and environmental regulations.
