Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding and strengthening VPG’s ecosystem by building strategic partnerships, engaging veterinary practice owners, curating educational initiatives, and ensuring high-quality vendor collaboration. This role combines relationship management, industry representation, and strategic growth execution aligned with VPG’s long-term vision.

Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

  • Identify, onboard, and manage partnerships with veterinary pharmaceutical companies, distributors, equipment manufacturers, and service providers.
  • Develop and nurture long-term, mutually beneficial relationships aligned with VPG’s commercial and strategic objectives.
  • Drive partnership-led value creation for VPG members through exclusive offerings, programs, and collaborations.

2. Educational Programs & Industry Events

  • Plan and execute educational initiatives including seminars, webinars, workshops, and training programs focused on:
  • Clinical best practices
  • Practice management and profitability
  • Procurement optimization
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external speakers, including national and global industry experts.
  • Represent VPG at industry conferences, trade shows, and forums (e.g., WSAVA, regional veterinary meets), strengthening brand presence and industry credibility.

3. Vendor Evaluation & Governance

  • Evaluate and assess vendors based on quality standards, regulatory compliance, pricing competitiveness, service capability, and market relevance.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, product listings, and documentation in line with VPG policies.
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews to ensure continuous alignment with VPG standards and member expectations.

4. Member & Practice Owner Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with existing VPG member clinics to enhance engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Identify and connect with veterinary practice owners and decision-makers to expand VPG membership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clinics, understanding their operational challenges and aligning VPG solutions accordingly.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: M.V.Sc (Clinical specialization preferred)
  • Experience: 4–5 years of professional experience in veterinary clinics with demonstrated leadership or managerial responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of veterinary practice operations, procurement, and industry dynamics
  • Proven ability to build partnerships, manage stakeholders, and drive growth initiatives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
