Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Business Development Manager to lead and expand our Solar Rooftop business. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving sales growth across residential, commercial, and industrial rooftop solar segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the rooftop solar market (C&I and residential segments).
  • Generate leads through market research, networking, and strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct site feasibility assessments and coordinate with the technical team for solution design and proposals.
  • Prepare techno-commercial offers, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with EPC partners, consultants, channel partners, and corporate clients.
  • Drive the execution of projects in coordination with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal, and operations).
  • Stay updated with market trends, government policies, and DISCOM regulations related to rooftop solar.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and seminars to enhance visibility and branding.
  • Maintain CRM database, prepare periodic reports on sales pipeline, forecasts, and achievements.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualification:

    B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Energy / Renewable Energy. MBA in Marketing or Energy Management preferred.
  • Experience:

    510 years of experience in Business Development / Sales within the

    solar rooftop or renewable energy

    sector.
  • Strong understanding of net metering policies, solar EPC models (CAPEX/OPEX/RESCO), and government subsidy schemes.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing end-to-end project sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for business development and client meetings.
