Role & responsibilities 1. Procurement Planning & Execution Develop and implement procurement plans based on project timelines and budget. Manage end-to-end purchasing of solar components: PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, BoS, etc. Evaluate and approve suppliers based on quality, price, delivery timelines, and compliance. 2. Vendor Management Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors (local and international). Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement. Maintain long-term supplier relationships and ensure performance through regular reviews. 3. Purchase Order Management Create, issue, and track purchase orders (POs) using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally). Monitor PO execution to ensure timely material delivery as per project schedules. Resolve discrepancies in deliveries, invoices, or order fulfillment. 4. Cost Control & Budgeting Analyze pricing trends, forecast costs, and ensure procurement within allocated budgets. Implement strategies for cost savings without compromising quality and timelines. Track and report procurement KPIs regularly to senior management. 5. Inventory & Logistics Coordination Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics team for material receipts, inspections, and storage. Monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts. Support project execution teams in resolving supply chain issues. 8. Quality Assurance Ensure vendors deliver materials that meet quality and certification standards (IEC, MNRE, BIS).
