Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing maintenance activities for laboratory and production instruments such as incubators, weighing balance machines, HVAC systems, and other electrical equipment including AC units, refrigerators, and related utilities. The candidate will ensure all instruments and facilities are maintained in optimal working condition to support uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory and production equipment (e.g., incubators, weighing balances, HVAC, ACs, refrigerators, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and instrument-related issues promptly.
• Maintain maintenance logs, calibration records, and service reports for all equipment.
• Coordinate with external service engineers and vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during maintenance activities.
• Monitor utility systems and ensure continuous operation of critical infrastructure.
• Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and validation processes.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Support audit and documentation requirements related to maintenance and engineering activities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC, refrigeration, and lab equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good documentation and record-keeping abilities.
• Team coordination and time management skills.

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in maintenance within a chemical, pharmaceutical, or laboratory environment.
