We are looking for a talented and experienced Legal Manager to join our team and play a critical role in managing our legal and regulatory affairs.

What you’ll do:

• Advise, draft, review, negotiate, and close a variety of commercial agreements including third-party contracts, service agreements, partnerships, and license agreements.
• Support general corporate legal matters with a solid understanding of the Indian Companies Act, 2013, and related regulations, including corporate governance and group company legal affairs.
• Assist in creating and streamlining processes for efficient contract negotiation and management, including developing and maintaining standard form agreements and legal databases.
• Lead and oversee communication strategies to ensure consistent messaging across internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage proactively with regulatory bodies, providing policy advocacy support, and ensuring compliance with RBI, SEBI, FEMA, and other relevant frameworks, especially those applicable to NBFCs/financial institutions.
• Ensure that all legal and commercial arrangements comply with BharatPe’s policies, contractual obligations, and applicable laws.

Who's the right fit?

• A Law Graduate from a recognized university with 3-5 years post-qualification experience, preferably from a law firm.
• Experience in fintech, banking, M&A, and/or general corporate legal matters is essential.
• Candidates with prior exposure to debt transactions and the fintech/banking sector will be given preference.
• Strong knowledge of Indian regulatory frameworks such as RBI guidelines for NBFCs, SEBI, FEMA, and Companies Act compliance.
• A proactive legal professional who can collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and engage with regulatory bodies confidently.
