Job Position: Challan & Operations Executive Job Description: Prepare and generate Road Tax Challans as per data received from field teams. Maintain proper bookkeeping records during the assigned shift. Coordinate with field operations teams to collect data required by the management. Prepare and share periodic MIS reports. Monitor diesel usage and reconcile with consumption reports. Record and track cash and bank collections accurately. Escalate any discrepancies in field data, fuel usage, or financial records immediately. Work collaboratively with other Challan team members during shift handovers.Role & responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Regulatory & Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance with all applicable Central and State laws including: Factories Act, Labour Laws, Environmental Laws, Mining & Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act, Water/Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Acts, Hazardous Waste Management Rules, etc. Coordinate with statutory bodies such as Pollution Control Boards, Mining Departments, Labour Departments, and local administration . Maintain and monitor statutory registers, licenses, permits, lease deeds, and renewals across all operating units. Prepare and submit timely filings, returns, and declarations to regulatory authorities. Legal Drafting & Documentation Draft, vet, and review legal documents including: Lease agreements, MOUs, NDAs, vendor contracts, employment agreements, service agreements, joint ventures, purchase/sale agreements, etc. Review land-related documents for plant and mining sites, ensuring clear title and due diligence. Ensure proper stamping, registration, and enforceability of agreements. Litigation & Dispute Resolution Handle and coordinate all litigation matters including: Civil suits, labour disputes, contract enforcement, mining violations, pollution-related notices, etc. Liaise with external counsels, attend court hearings, and ensure timely filing of replies, affidavits, and appeals. Maintain litigation tracker and advise management on risk mitigation strategies. Advisory & Risk Management Advise management and functional heads on legal implications of business decisions, new projects, and regulatory changes. Conduct internal legal audits to assess compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions. Support HR in handling disciplinary actions, employee disputes, and labour law compliance. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with Finance, HR, Operations, and Projects teams to ensure seamless legal support. Participate in cross-departmental meetings and provide legal input in strategic and operational decisions. Ensure all operational sites (Haldia, Saltora, Birbhum) follow uniform legal SOPs. Candidate Profile LLB (Full-time) from a recognized university; LLM or PGD in Corporate Law is a plus. 512 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in: Manufacturing, Heavy Industries, Recycling, Mining, or Infrastructure sectors. Strong knowledge of: Labour & Industrial Laws Environmental Laws & Pollution Control Norms Land Laws, Lease/Mining Lease Processes Contract Law & Commercial Litigation Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to travel to factory/mining sites periodically (Haldia, Saltora, Birbhum). Fluency in English, Hindi, and Bengali preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities of an Office Manager 1. Office Administration Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of both office and factory premises. Ensure availability and timely procurement of office supplies, stationery, and consumables as per company requirements. Manage correspondence, filing systems, and documentation for all departments. Supervise housekeeping, security, and maintenance personnel to maintain hygiene, safety, and orderliness. Handle visitor management, reception duties, and internal/external communication flow. 2. Coordination & Communication Act as a liaison between the Head Office, factory, and inter-departmental teams (Accounts, HR, Production, Purchase, and Logistics). Ensure efficient communication between management and employees. Assist senior management in organizing meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining daily operational updates. 3. HR & Personnel Support Maintain attendance, leave records, and shift rosters for staff and workers. Assist in recruitment, joining formalities, and employee documentation. Support implementation of HR policies, workplace discipline, and employee engagement initiatives. Provide attendance and overtime data to accounts for payroll processing. 4. Compliance & Documentation Maintain and update statutory records such as Factory License, Labour Registers, ESI, PF, and other compliance files. Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities during inspections and audits. Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and safety standards. 5. Vendor & Purchase Coordination Liaise with vendors and service providers for utilities, office supplies, and maintenance work. Obtain quotations, raise purchase requests, and ensure cost-effective procurement. Maintain vendor databases and follow up on payments with the Accounts Department. 6. Facility & Asset Management Oversee maintenance of office infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment. Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) for key utilities such as electricity, water, and internet. Maintain an updated asset register for furniture, IT equipment, and factory assets. 7. Support to Accounts & Logistics Manage petty cash and assist with expense reimbursements. Coordinate dispatch schedules, transport arrangements, and material documentation. Support the Accounts Department in invoice verification, bill processing, and record maintenance. 8. Safety & Welfare Ensure adherence to safety, security, and hygiene protocols across office and plant areas. Support management in implementing welfare programs, employee activities, and CSR initiatives. 9. Reporting Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering office expenses, manpower, and administrative performance. Keep management informed about operational updates, issues, and improvement opportunities. 10.
