Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to provide legal guidance, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and manage contractual matters for the company and its clients. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in corporate and commercial law, contract drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment. Additionally, this role involves conducting quality checks for junior associates to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of legal work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and client agreements.
• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to business operations.
• Assist in handling legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters.
• Conduct legal research to support business decisions and policy formation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess legal risks and provide proactive solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest legal developments, especially in commercial and contract law.
• Work with external legal advisors when necessary.
• Perform quality checks on legal work completed by junior associates to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.
• 3-4 years of experience in corporate law, contract management, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of commercial law, contract law, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the legal services industry or a corporate legal department is preferred.
