Key Responsibilities
- Interpret application, feature, or component designs and translate them into functional code.
- Develop, test, debug, and document features in alignment with product specifications.
- Manage EDIFECS installation and configuration, including monitoring, upgrades, and support.
- Create and optimize EDI process flows using EDIFECS tools.
- Implement and manage business rules and mapping for X12 transactions (834, 837, 835, 277, 999, etc.).
- Provide guidance to team members on EDI and EDIFECS best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring sessions.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to design and implement scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Contribute to HLD/LLD documents, configuration management plans, and design documentation.
- Support QA and UAT teams by reviewing test plans, test cases, and providing technical clarifications.
- Interface with customer teams to clarify requirements and provide product demonstrations.
- Lead defect triaging, root cause analysis, and manage release processes.
Primary Skills (Must-Have)
- EDIFECS Platform: Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- EDI Transactions: Deep knowledge of X12 transactions (834, 837, 835, 278, 277, 275, 997, 999)
- Programming: Java, JavaScript
- Development Practices: Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git version control
- Business Rules & Process Flows: EDI mapping, translation, routing
- Healthcare Payer Domain: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience
Secondary Skills (Preferred)
- Database Management Systems: Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Operating Systems: Linux/Unix environments for EDIFECS setup and configuration
- IDE & Tools: Eclipse, IntelliJ, EDIFECS-specific tools (XEngine, SpecBuilder, etc.)
- SDLC Models: Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
- Testing: JUnit or equivalent testing frameworks, unit test creation and validation
Good To Have Skills
- Cloud Exposure: AWS, Azure experience with EDIFECS deployment
- DevOps Tools: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
- Modelling & Documentation: UML, BPMN, use case modeling
- Certifications: EDIFECS product certifications or Healthcare domain certifications (e.g., AHIP)
- Presentation Skills: Experience with demos, technical walkthroughs, or client-facing presentations
