About The Role
We’re looking for a
Lead – Cloud Infra Optimization & Security Specialist
to own, optimize, and secure our large-scale multi-cloud environment across AWS and Azure, with OCI experience being a plus.This role is ideal for a cloud leader who can balance technical depth with strategic thinking—someone who has hands-on experience managing
300+ cloud resources (VMs, LB, VPC, DB, Route53 etc)
,
leading cloud engineering teams, and driving measurable improvements in cloud cost efficiency and security posture.You will partner closely with Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Finance teams to ensure our cloud environments remain
secure, scalable, cost-optimized, and audit-ready
at all times.
What You’ll Do
Cloud Optimization & Security Leadership
- Lead initiatives to ensure cloud environments remain secure, cost-efficient, scalable, and compliant.
- Drive FinOps practices including rightsizing, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, autoscaling, and unused resource cleanup.
- Strengthen cloud security posture through:
- IAM governance
- Encryption standards
- VPC/network security
- Compliance with CIS/NIST guidelines
- Continuously review IAM policies, firewall rules, routing, VPC architectures, and other critical cloud security components.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Engineering, DevOps, Finance, and Security teams to align on cost, performance, and security objectives.
- Present insights, dashboards, and recommendations to leadership.
- Lead cloud optimization and security governance across the organization.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Leverage tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, OCI Billing, CloudHealth, Trusted Advisor, Azure Advisor, etc.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reports covering:
- Cost savings achieved
- Security posture and audit readiness
- Optimization opportunities
- Action items and roadmap priorities
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of 4–6 Cloud Engineers.
- Establish cloud best practices, SOPs, monitoring standards, and documentation processes.
- Drive a culture of accountability, automation, and continuous improvement.
Experience
What We’re Looking For
- 5-10 years of overall experience in Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps / Cloud Security.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale cloud environments on AWS.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Azure cloud.
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience, leading cloud/DevOps teams.
- Minimum 2 years of customer interaction experience, handling technical discussions or solution delivery.
- 3–4 years of experience in cloud cost optimization (FinOps).
- 3–4 years of experience in cloud security, including IAM, encryption, secure networking, and compliance.
- Experience in B2B SaaS environments preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of cloud networking: VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls.
- Deep expertise in IAM, KMS, SSL/TLS, encryption, and cloud security controls.
- Hands-on experience with cloud cost analysis tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, OCI Billing).
- Proficiency with optimization/security platforms like CloudHealth, Trusted Advisor, Azure Advisor, etc.
Certifications (Preferred)
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty
- AWS Solutions Architect
- Azure Security Engineer Associate
- FinOps Practitioner Certification
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
