Role Overview

As Laundry Manager, you will oversee the entire garment processing workflow — from sorting to dispatch — ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, we expect you to lead the continuous upgrade of the unit with the latest technology and best available solutions. Your goal will be to streamline processes, increase productivity, and enhance the income potential for our workmen.

You will also play a strategic role in workforce engagement and development, supporting the creation of a modern workshop with state-of-the-art infrastructure, cultivating a positive work culture, and establishing SOPs for skill development aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Oversee all stages of garment processing — sorting, washing, drying, finishing, packing, and dispatch — ensuring smooth workflows and cross-functional coordination.
• Process & Technology Upgrade: Evaluate and implement the latest technology and solutions to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
• Workforce Development: Develop strategies to engage, motivate, and upskill workmen while improving their income potential.
• Workshop Development: Support the design and development of a new workshop with modern infrastructure and facilities.
• SOP & Training: Create and implement standard operating procedures and training modules for operational excellence.
• Quality & Compliance: Lead quality checks at critical points and ensure adherence to SOPs, hygiene, safety protocols, and chemical usage guidelines.
• Maintenance & Vendor Coordination: Oversee preventive maintenance of machinery, manage AMC agreements, and coordinate with vendors for timely procurement and servicing.
• Customer Escalation Management: Act promptly to resolve operational escalations and customer complaints related to garment processing.
• Resource Optimization: Drive cost-effective utilization of water, energy, chemicals, and manpower.
• Reporting & Analysis: Track KPIs, productivity, rewash rates, and utility usage; prepare MIS reports and use insights for continuous improvement.
• Brand Growth Support: Collaborate with leadership to elevate the brand as a premium, trusted laundry service through innovation and consistent quality.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience of minimum 10 years in laundry operations with leadership roles in industrial or premium laundry units.
• Strong knowledge of laundry machinery, fabric care, stain treatment, and process management.
• Demonstrated ability to implement technology upgrades and optimize workflows.
• Skilled in workforce engagement, training program development, and creating SOPs.
• Strategic thinker with analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Passionate about building work culture, enhancing employee income, and supporting brand growth.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate in Operations, Hospitality, Textile Technology, or related fields.
• Prior experience in developing modern workshops and training systems is an advantage.
