Job Description

Job Role: L2 support

Location: Mumbai

Work mode: Contract (6 Months)/On-Site

Experience: 3-6 years

Key Responsibilities

Provide
Level 2 (L2) support
for enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and firewall infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents, network outages, and performance issues within defined SLAs.
Configure, manage, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers across multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
Work with ISPs and vendors for link provisioning, escalations, and root cause analysis.
Perform routine health checks, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring using NMS tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).
Support network change management activities: configuration changes, upgrades, and migrations.
Document network issues, root cause analysis, and maintain updated configuration & topology diagrams.
Assist in implementing network security policies, VLANs, ACLs, and VPN setups.
Collaborate with L1 engineers and guide them in initial troubleshooting.
Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 support (as required).

Required Skills & Experience

3–6 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise or managed service environments.
Strong knowledge of
TCP/IP, Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), Switching (VLANs, STP, VTP)
.
Experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent).
Exposure to load balancers, proxy servers, and VPN technologies.
Proficiency in network monitoring & troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SNMP, etc.).
Experience in ITIL process: Incident, Problem & Change management.
Good communication skills and ability to interact with clients/vendors.
Cisco CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent certifications) preferred.

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Scripting knowledge (Python, Ansible, Shell) for network automation.
Familiarity with SD-WAN, NAC, and ACI solutions.
