Job Description

Job Title: Territory Sales Executive / Area Sales Executive Job Purpose The role is responsible for driving sales, market share, brand visibility, and distribution coverage in the assigned territory. The incumbent will ensure achievement of sales targets, activation execution, dealer engagement, and outlet-level excellence while promoting the company’s key brands through innovative sales and marketing initiatives. Key Responsibilities Sales & Market Share Growth Achieve agreed portfolio sales targets through effective territory coverage. Drive activation execution across assigned outlets and accounts. Attain brand-wise targeted market share with a strong focus on key brands. Increase brand penetration within the designated area of control. Account & Outlet Management Initiate, manage, and monitor tie-up accounts, jointly planning events and promotional calendars. Implement Sales & Distribution (S&D) processes, including outlet-level planning and receivables management. Manage A&P budgets for outlets, ensuring effective planning and execution. Brand Visibility & Promotions Promote product awareness through sampling, on-premise promotions, and local events. Drive quality visibility of the brand across institutional accounts. Identify and secure shelf-space in prime outlets, presenting proposals to strengthen brand presence. Business Development Continuously explore new market opportunities and recommend new dealer appointments, incentive programs, and schemes. Expand width of coverage through an effective distribution structure. Systematically collect and report competition insights and market intelligence. Reporting & Performance Tracking Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting of objectives vs. results. Maintain route plan accounting and territory coverage reports. Qualifications & Experience Graduate in Business, Sales, or Marketing (MBA preferred). 2–5 years of field sales experience in FMCG, beverages, consumer durables, or allied industries. Strong knowledge of distribution management, key account handling, and trade marketing. Proven ability to drive sales targets and market share growth. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Key Attributes Result-oriented with a strong focus on execution excellence. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities. Strong analytical and reporting skills. High energy, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
