Junior Software Engineer

About:

OrcHire.ai empowers next-generation hiring through an autonomous multi-agent platform. The Junior Software Engineer will contribute to building scalable, intelligent, and context-aware systems that drive modern recruitment experiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the design and implementation of backend and frontend modules within the AI-powered recruiting platform.
• Work alongside senior engineers to deliver cloud-native solutions using Python, Java, or similar technologies.
• Support integration of APIs, resume parsing engines, and candidate stack-ranking features.
• Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize systems for performance, reliability, and secure data handling.
• Write clean, well-tested code and maintain documentation for assigned modules.
• Contribute ideas to product discussions, focusing on features that enhance recruiter and candidate experiences.
• Adhere to security, compliance, and best engineering practices for cloud deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0-2 years of software engineering experience; strong academic projects or internships are valued.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go).
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps concepts is a plus.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, APIs, and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) preferred.
• Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative startup environments.
• Excellent communication and team skills.

Bonus Skills

• Exposure to HR tech, recruiting workflows, or candidate evaluation platforms.
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React.js, Angular), NoSQL/SQL databases, or security compliance (GDPR/SOC2).
• Interest in AI/ML-driven applications, data analytics, or automation.
