Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated

Junior Quality Engineer

to support quality assurance and control activities for

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Fabrication

projects within the

EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality regulations while assisting in inspections, documentation, and quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring quality control procedures for MEP and fabrication works.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks for fabricated components, piping, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Support in ensuring compliance with ISO, ASME, AWS, and other industry standards.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

Inspection & Testing

  • Participate in incoming material inspections to verify compliance with approved specifications.
  • Conduct weld inspections, dimensional checks, and NDT coordination as per project requirements.
  • Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist in coordinating with third-party inspection agencies when required.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain and update quality records, inspection reports, and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
  • Support in preparing Method Statements, Work Procedures, and Quality Reports.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards during quality inspections.
  • Support quality audits, both internal and external, and help implement corrective actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives in fabrication and MEP quality processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance, preferably in MEP and Fabrication within EPC projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of welding processes, NDT, and fabrication standards.
  • Knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and installation procedures.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, checklists, and quality audits.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • ASNT Level II (PT, UT, MT, RT)
  • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Training
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: MS Office, AutoCAD (basic knowledge), and QA/QC reporting tools.
