Position Overview

Junior Merchandiser Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing seasonal furniture collections based on market trends and sales analysis
• Coordinate with vendors, artisans, and suppliers to manage sampling, production timelines, and material procurement
• Maintain and update product catalogs, specifications, pricing, and SKU details across systems
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and product performance to support replenishment and planning decisions
• Work closely with design and sourcing teams to ensure materials, finishes, and construction align with brand standards
• Track furniture samples from development to final production and ensure timely delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and manufacturers in Jodhpur and surrounding regions
• Support quality control processes and conduct product inspections as needed
• Prepare merchandising reports and assist in trade show or buyer meeting setups
• Ensure product storytelling aligns with Purewood’s brand values and sustainability principles

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Furniture Design, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in furniture merchandising, sourcing, or product development
• In-depth knowledge of wood types, finishes, furniture hardware, and construction methods
• Strong vendor and supplier management skills — preferably in the Jodhpur region
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and merchandising software/tools
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
• Passion for high-quality craftsmanship, natural materials, and sustainable design
