Role Overview: We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Senior Knit Garment Designer to lead the design process for our prestigious global clients. This role is highly focused on managing the entire design process of knit garments for specific brands, ensuring that designs align with client requirements and market trends. As a Senior Designer, maintaining strong, long-term relationships with brand clients and buyers is a key aspect of this position. You will be the point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication, high-quality designs, and on-time deliveries. While this position is primarily on-site in Tiruppur, we are open to discussing a hybrid working arrangement for candidates located outside Tiruppur. Key Responsibilities: Lead the entire design process for knit garments, from concept to final product, ensuring that designs meet the specifications and expectations of key brand clients like Gap, Walmart, and Disney. Establish and maintain close relationships with brand clients and buyers , ensuring consistent communication, feedback integration, and alignment with their needs. Create detailed technical specifications, schematics, and tech packs for production, ensuring accuracy and clarity for the production teams. Select fabrics, trims, and materials in collaboration with sourcing teams to align with the brand’s quality standards and aesthetic. Oversee the sampling process and ensure timely delivery and adherence to design specifications, working closely with production teams. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet market demands while adhering to timelines. Conduct market research and trend forecasting , ensuring designs are innovative, relevant, and competitive. Present design concepts to management and external stakeholders and incorporate their feedback into final designs. Mentor junior designers, guiding them through technical and creative aspects of design. Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and clients to ensure smooth execution of design projects. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience in knit garment design, preferably within the garment manufacturing industry. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design , or a related field. Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software for design and technical drawings. In-depth knowledge of knit fabric behavior, garment construction, and finishing techniques. Proven experience creating detailed tech packs and clearly communicating design intent to production teams. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills , with the ability to manage relationships with clients and cross-functional teams. Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong understanding of current and upcoming market trends in the fashion and garment industry. The Senior HR Executive will oversee the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and policy implementation. Responsibilities will also include developing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with local and international labour laws, managing employee benefits and payroll, and fostering a positive company culture. Key Responsibilities: Support the leadership team in building structured processes to enhance efficiency and accountability across departments. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring standardized templates, reports, and follow-up mechanisms. Organize and facilitate review meetings (weekly, monthly, quarterly & annually). Strong skills in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management Good organizational and coordination skills with a system-driven mindset. Knowledge of compliance, labour laws, and HR policies Proficiency in managing employee benefits and payroll Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Experience in the apparel manufacturing industry is a plus Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace. High attention to detail, accountability, and follow ups. Proactive attitude with problem solving abilities.
