Junior Accountant

Daily Accounting Entries: Maintain accurate records by entering transactions in accounting software (ZOHO), including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Accounts Receivable and Payable: Manage the inflow and outflow of funds: Track invoices and payments from customers and suppliers. Ensure timely collection of receivables and settlement of payables. GST and Tax Compliance: Assist in monthly GST filings (e.g., GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), prepare basic information for Income Tax and TDS returns, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations. Inventory Reporting: Maintain daily inventory reports, keeping records of stock movement and reconciling with purchases and sales. Financial Statement Preparation: Support the senior accountant in preparing financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports. Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, matching company accounts with bank statements to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate records. Payroll and Expenses: Assist with monthly payroll processing and monitor company expenses to ensure records are accurate and claims are supported. Audit Support: Assist with internal and statutory audits by compiling required documentation and supporting review of financial transactions. Budgeting and Cost Analysis: Support preparation of budgets and cost reports as needed, analyzing costs for different departments or projects. Coordination: Collaborate with senior accountants and other departments for effective bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance tasks.
