An electrician at Hometek is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and components across residential and commercial automation projects, ensuring safety and compliance with local codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Install and maintain electrical wiring, control, and lighting systems, including switches, circuit-breaker panels, and other distribution components. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical system issues using tools like voltmeters and ammeters. Design and plan layout for electrical wiring, lighting, intercoms, alarms, and other automation-related systems based on blueprints and technical diagrams. Requirements Relevant vocational training or technical diploma in electrical systems.- ITI Proven experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance (preferably with residential and building automation projects). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and automation schematics. Understanding of safety practices, regulatory codes, and automation control standards. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and client service orientation. Capability to use diagnostic and testing devices for troubleshooting automation system faults.
