Jewelry Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Product Planning:

○ Assist the co-founder in developing, refining, and executing product roadmaps aligned with the company’s growth strategy.

 ○ Translate market insights and internal objectives into actionable product initiatives.

Vendor Management & Sourcing:

○ Identify and vet new vendors and manufacturers, primarily in China and other global sourcing hubs.

 ○ Negotiate pricing, timelines, and quality standards to ensure favorable outcomes for the brand. ○ Maintain ongoing relationships with vendors, ensuring alignment with design, quality, and delivery requirements. 

Market & Trend Analysis:

○ Conduct in-depth market research to identify product trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies. 

○ Present findings and recommendations that influence product direction and pricing strategies.

● Design Collaboration:

○ Partner with internal and external design teams to conceptualize new collections. 

○ Provide input on feasibility, materials, cost, and scalability of designs.

 ○ Ensure designs stay true to the brand's aesthetic and commercial goals. 

● Product Development Lifecycle:

○ Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, including sample development, testing, and final production. 

○ Create and track production timelines, ensuring that milestones are met across departments. 

○ Monitor quality assurance and collaborate with the team to address any manufacturing issues.

Operational Support:

 ○ Help streamline product development processes and documentation. 

 ○ Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, e-commerce, and logistics to ensure cohesive product launches. 

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in product development, buying, sourcing, or strategy—preferably within the fashion, accessories, or jewelry sectors.
• Experience working with manufacturers in China is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of the jewelry market, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a detail-oriented mindset. 
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, startup environment. 
• Familiarity with brand development and maintaining consistency across product lines. 
• Proficiency in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Notion, and product lifecycle management software is a plus.
