Our Technology

Our primary tech stack is Linux, core Java 11+, memory mapped files, messaging, FIX and Hibernate (to PostgresQL) with particular focus on low latency and reducing jitter. Our supporting components use Esper, Spring and Tomcat/JSF. 

Whilst experience in these technologies is obviously beneficial, a quick mind and the aptitude and desire to learn are of more interest to us.

Subversion, git, Jenkins, JIRA and SonarQube help us to deliver successfully and regularly (up to daily to internal test environment, weekly to client’s test and monthly to client’s production).

The Role

A space has opened up in our agile development team for a sharp Java Developer. They will be instrumental in the architecture, algorithms, data structures and procedures within the team. This is very much a hands-on technical role with 90% of the time spent on design, development, unit testing, automated testing and support for new features, components or systems.

Our experienced developers act as mentors and guides for the junior members of the team, helping them to progress to the next level in their career and can also expect the same support and encouragement from above.

Your Skills

• A passion to learn, understand, grow and teach
• Great Java SE 11+ skills (3+ years)
• Experience working in agile teams
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous testing
• Passion for crafting clean code
• Experience of using Linux
• Ability to communicate both within the Dev team and to stakeholders
• Any experience with cryptocurrencies and/or related skills such as decentralized finance (DeFi), tokenisation, trading, matching engine, clearing and settlement as well as capital markets system integration will be a very useful complement to the above.
