Position Title: IT Manager

Department: Information Technology

Position Overview

The IT Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of the organization’s information technology infrastructure and services. This position ensures the availability, reliability, and security of all IT systems and networks, while also providing leadership and direction to the IT team. The IT Manager plays a critical role in aligning technology initiatives with organizational objectives, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering innovation to support business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute IT strategies in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Establish policies and standards for IT governance, security, and compliance.
• Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of hardware, software, networks, and cloud-based systems.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and business continuity through robust backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop IT staff to build a high-performing team.
• Assign tasks, set performance objectives, and conduct regular evaluations.
• Promote professional growth and continuous learning among team members.
• Implement and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity protocols to safeguard data and systems.
• Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Oversee technical support operations to ensure prompt resolution of user issues.
• Provide training and resources to enhance employees’ technical competencies.
• Develop and manage the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and fiscal responsibility.
• Negotiate and oversee contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible IT experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure management, networking, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, cloud platforms, and IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
• Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CCNP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
