Role & responsibilities: Landscaping & Green Space Management Design and implement landscaping plans for the power plant, township, and dam surroundings. Maintain lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants to enhance aesthetic appeal. Ensure regular upkeep, including pruning, mowing, fertilization, and pest control. Nursery Operations Manage the on-site nursery for propagation of plants, ensuring a steady supply for landscaping needs. Oversee the cultivation of seasonal and perennial plants, including rare and medicinal species. Implement sustainable practices like composting and organic farming within the nursery. Irrigation & Water Management Develop and maintain efficient irrigation systems across all green areas. Coordinate with the dam management team to ensure optimal water usage for horticultural purposes. Implement water conservation techniques and monitor soil moisture levels. Infrastructure & Equipment Supervise the maintenance of horticultural tools, machinery, and equipment. Plan and oversee the construction of greenhouses, shade nets, and other related structures. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all horticultural activities. Team Management & Training Lead a team of horticulturists, gardeners, and support staff. Conduct regular training sessions on best practices in horticulture and safety measures. Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback. Budgeting & Reporting Prepare annual budgets for horticultural activities and monitor expenditures. Maintain records of plant inventories, maintenance schedules, and resource utilization.
