Junior Agronomist

As a Junior Agronomist at Niqo Robotics, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and testing of innovative farming technologies to enhance crop production and farm management practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Agronomic Support** - Provide technical expertise in crop management, soil science, and plant biology for agricultural robotics development. - Monitor crop health, analyze field data, and determine optimal farming practices for effective testing conditions. - Troubleshoot on-ground issues like pest outbreaks, irrigation system failures, and nutrition deficiencies, escalating when necessary. - Collect and maintain data on crop performance and soil quality to validate plant health and testing objectives. - **Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication** - Collaborate with robotics engineers and testing teams to understand field testing requirements and contribute to system improvements. - Ensure clear and timely communication across internal teams to align agronomic and engineering goals. - **Field Operations and Hands-on Support** - Engage in core farm operations including sowing, weeding, cultivation, irrigation, pesticide spraying, and field maintenance. - Demonstrate flexibility to support various on-field or operational activities as required. - Monitor plant growth stages and field conditions following agronomic best practices and engineering requirements. - **Crop Analysis and Reporting** - Generate timely and accurate field reports and analyses. - Maintain detailed records of field activities, equipment deployment, and deviations. - Share findings and recommendations to enhance agronomic outcomes and system design. **Qualification Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Plant Science, or related field. - Proficiency in crop management, soil health, irrigation, and pest control. - Familiarity with agri-tech tools such as drones, sensors, and autonomous machines is advantageous. - Minimum 1 year of hands-on field or farm operations experience is preferred. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work outdoors and conduct fieldwork. - Enthusiasm for technology-driven solutions in agriculture. - Willingness to travel to farms and field sites across various locations in India.,
