Job Description

Job Title: Inventory Control Executive Department: Stores Location: Navi Mumbai Reporting To: Operations Manager Type: Full-Time Objective of the Role: To maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, ensure optimum stock levels, and support production continuity by implementing effective inventory control systems in a metal stamping manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: 1.Inventory Management- Maintain accurate records of raw material, WIP, finished goods, and consumables. Ensure real-time data entry in ERP Conduct daily stock verification and reconcile discrepancies. Update bin cards, stock ledgers, and maintain physical vs system stock accuracy. 2. Material Receiving & Issue Coordinate and verify incoming material against purchase orders and delivery challans. Supervise unloading, labeling, and storage as per FIFO/FEFO. Ensure proper issuance of materials to production lines as per Job Cards/BOMs. 3. Cycle Counting & Audits Perform daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts. Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation. Identify and investigate root causes of variances and implement corrective actions. 4. Coordination & Documentation Liaise with procurement, production, and dispatch teams to forecast inventory needs. Prepare GRNs, Material Issue Slips, Return Slips, and other inventory documents in ERP. Support generation of MIS reports – stock levels, slow/fast-moving items, consumption trends. 5. Housekeeping & Safety Maintain clean, organized, and labeled storage areas. Ensure compliance with 5S, safety norms, and hazardous material handling procedures. 6.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Stock accuracy ≥ 100% (Physical vs System) 7. Zero-line stoppage due to stock-out 8. Timeliness of reporting and documentation (100% within timeline) 9. Inventory holding days within defined limits 10. Reduction in non-moving/obsolete inventory 11. Qualifications & Skills: Education:Graduate (B.Com, B.A, or equivalent) Diploma in Materials Management or relevant training preferred Experience: Min 5 years in inventory or stores management in a manufacturing setup (preferably metal components or automotive) Skills: Good knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP (Tally Prime / SAP / Zoho preferred) Strong ERP & documentation skills Knowledge of metal grades, stamping raw materials (CRCA, SS, Copper, Brass etc.) Good communication and coordination ability Detail-oriented with problem-solving mindset Work Schedule & Environment: Working Hours: As per factory shift (general shift 9.00 am to 6.30 pm) Workplace: Shopfloor + Stores + Office Interface Occasional extended hours during stock audits or dispatch peaks
