Factory Worker

Job Title: ITI Bench Fitter Department: Production Location: Shiv Shakti PressTech Pvt. Ltd. (SSPPL), Navi Mumbai Reports To: Production Supervisor Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: Perform manual filing, grinding, drilling, tapping, and assembly of press components. Support in production changeovers, and setups. Carry out bench fitting tasks such as cleaning, deburring, and polishing of components. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, sketches, and job instructions. Operate basic hand tools, bench grinders, drilling machines, and measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, etc.). Ensure accurate alignment and fitment of components during assembly. Conduct pre-checks and functional trials of components and fixtures. Maintain cleanliness and order in the bench fitting area. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety norms, and 5S practices. Report tool wear, component mismatches, or anomalies to the supervisor. Qualifications: Educational: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) – Trade: Fitter Experience: 0–2 years in a metal stamping or press shop environment preferred Age: 18–35 years preferred Skills Required: Good knowledge of mechanical fitting, hand tools, and assembly techniques. Ability to read basic engineering drawings. Familiarity with die components, guide pillars, punch & die assembly. Basic understanding of safety and quality procedures. Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks on time. Team player with a positive and disciplined work attitude.
