Job Description: Quality Control Inspector in a Metal Stamping Factory Position: Quality Control Inspector Location: Rabale MIDC, Navi Mumbai Department: Quality Control Reports To: Quality Control Manager Qualification - Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Job Summary: The Quality Control Inspector in a metal stamping factory is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the established standards of quality, including reliability, usability, and performance. This role involves inspecting and testing materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure they comply with specifications and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials to ensure they meet required specifications. Perform regular in-process checks to ensure ongoing compliance during production. Inspect finished products for defects and compliance with quality standards and specifications. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and other quality control activities. Prepare and present quality reports, highlighting any deviations from standards and recommending corrective actions. Measurement and Analysis: Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other tools to measure dimensions, thickness, and other physical properties. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine quality standards. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all products adhere to industry and regulatory standards, as well as company quality policies. Stay updated on relevant industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance. Problem-Solving: Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and collaborate with production staff to develop solutions. Recommend modifications to current quality processes and procedures to enhance overall product quality. Safety and Maintenance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure the use of proper safety equipment. Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Technical training in quality control or a related field is preferred. Experience: Fresher or Maximum 1 year of experience in quality control, preferably in a metal stamping or manufacturing environment. Skills: Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Proficiency in using measurement and inspection tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Certifications: Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar certification is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 1 Kg. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Manual dexterity to handle precision tools and instruments. Good visual acuity for detailed inspection work. Work Environment: The position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection is required.
