About the Role : This role is part of the dynamic and fast growing wider-Asia R&D team with responsibility to deliver a strong innovation growth for 4 Business Units in the region, coupled with ambitious sustainability goals for 2030. This role has direct accountability to drive business objectives and sustainability programs for the Wellness category which includes global brands Centrum and Caltrate, as well as local star brands in the BU. The role is based out of our Gurgaon office in India. Key responsibilities for this role include : Develop and execute superior packaging solutions for the brands based on deep understanding of our consumer’s needs and competitive landscape. Manage multiple projects with varied levels of complexity following the stage-gate process and ensure delivery on time, in budget meeting the defined success criteria. Scout and develop sustainable packaging materials, formats and technologies aligned to the brand and technology roadmaps. Collaborate with x-functional teams to ideate and find creative packaging solutions for the business, create robust technical development plan and execute with excellence. Create specifications, reports, protocols and other technical documentation as per relevant internal and external standards in compliance with the quality and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate subject matter expertise on packaging and business savviness across all interactions with stakeholders and leaders. Actively engage and contribute to global packaging capability building and transformation programs. Network with external business partners to scout packaging innovation opportunities for the business. Why you? Qualifications, experience and skills required for this role: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Packaging, Chemical or Mechanical), or Science (Material Science, Polymer Chemistry or related fields) 9-14 yrs of relevant experience in FMCG or Healthcare industry, with 5-6yrs of experience in a role leading packaging projects for a global or regional brand. Experienced in collaborating with partner functions in R&D, Marketing and Supply Chain on the requirements for packaging development and related processes. Strong technical understanding of the requirements to deliver innovation to the marketplace along with a good grasp of the associated challenges to anticipate and resolve issues, mitigate risks and make sound business decisions. Ability to solve technical and operational problems with scientific rigour Knowledge of emerging technologies and policies (environmental, safety and regulatory) related to packaging Skilled in building and maintaining strong external network with key business partners and industry associations.
