Job Summary:

Information Security Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities in systems, processes, and applications.
• Lead security incident response planning, investigation, and resolution efforts.
• Monitor internal and external threats; oversee implementation of threat detection and prevention tools.
• Manage access controls and user identity security frameworks (IAM).

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).

• Coordinate regular security audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.

• Deliver ongoing security training and awareness programs for staff.

• Supervise and support the information security team and vendors.

• Collaborate with IT, Legal, Compliance, and other departments to align security initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

Experience:

• 5–8 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity roles.
• At least 2–3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Certifications (Preferred/Required):

• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) – Preferred
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor
• CEH, CompTIA Security+, or other relevant certifications

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
• Proficiency in risk management, security architecture, and incident response.
• Experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, endpoint protection, and cloud security.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
