Human Resources Manager

As the HR Manager at Gaj Mining Private Limited, a leading company engaged in Overburden Removal services at Northern Coalfields Limited, Singrauli, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all HR functions to ensure effective recruitment, training, employee relations, compliance, and overall workforce management for a team of more than 300 employees. Your strong background in HR, experience in managing large teams, and understanding of the mining sector's needs and regulations will be essential for success in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Recruitment & Staffing:** - Develop and implement strategies for recruiting and staffing, ensuring timely hiring for various positions. - Source, screen, interview, and hire candidates for operational and administrative roles. - Collaborate with department heads to identify manpower requirements and plan accordingly. - **Employee Relations & Retention:** - Foster a positive work environment through engagement programs and conflict resolution. - Act as a liaison between employees and management, handling grievances and disciplinary actions. - Implement retention strategies to minimize turnover and improve employee satisfaction. - **Training & Development:** - Organize training programs to upskill employees and meet company standards. - Identify skills gaps and develop tailored training plans for improvement. - **Compliance & Policy Management:** - Ensure compliance with labor laws, industry regulations, and safety standards. - Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with statutory requirements. - Handle all HR-related documentation, including contracts and performance reviews. - **Performance Management:** - Oversee the performance appraisal system, providing feedback and goal setting. - Provide coaching and counseling to enhance employee performance. - Manage employee benefits such as medical, insurance, and retirement plans. - **Health & Safety:** - Work closely with the safety team to implement safety measures and protocols. - Minimize workplace accidents and maintain a healthy work environment for all employees. **Qualifications & Skills Required:** - **Education:** - A Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. - A Masters degree or relevant HR certification is preferred. - **Experience:** - Minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role. - Experience in the mining or construction industry is a plus. - Proven experience in managing large teams. - **Skills:** - Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and compliance. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Leadership, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in HR software. **Personal Traits:** - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a proactive, solution-oriented approach. - High levels of integrity, professionalism, and adaptability.
