Position Overview: As the Human Resources Manager at Diamonds On Call, you will play a pivotal role in our growth journey by strategically managing talent and fostering a positive organizational culture. This position requires a seasoned HR professional with managerial experience, strategic vision, and a passionate about HR automation. We are seeking a forward-thinking, MBA-qualified professional who is ready to take on the challenge of driving our HR initiatives, creating foundation, and contributing to the success of our dynamic start-up environment. Responsibilities: The primary objective of the Human Resource Department is to cultivate a thriving and inclusive workplace culture that nurtures the professional growth and well-being of all employees by creating a strong foundation. Focused on attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier talent, as well as driving performance management initiatives, the goal is to implement automated systems that not only optimize routine HR tasks but also facilitate a comprehensive and data-driven approach to performance assessment. By adopting cutting-edge technologies, the aim is to create an agile and digitally advanced HR ecosystem that maximizes employee engagement, promotes talent development, and aligns seamlessly with the strategic goals of the organization. This includes effectively managing the following responsibilities. 1. Creating Foundation Develop a comprehensive set of HR policies and procedures that align with the start-up’s values, mission, and legal requirements. Clearly communicate these policies to all employees to ensure a shared understanding. Compile an employee handbook that serves as a comprehensive guide to company policies, benefits, and expectations. Stay abreast of local labour laws and regulations to ensure the start-up’s compliance. 2. Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Mentor and develop HR staff, promoting professional growth within the team. 3. Recruitment Framework: Create organisational chart for scaling the start-up quickly. Create detailed job descriptions outlining roles, responsibilities, and expectations for each position. Define career paths and growth opportunities within the start-up to foster employee development. Develop a streamlined recruitment process that attracts top talent. Implement tools and strategies for sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates efficiently. Design an onboarding program to acclimate new hires to the start-up’s culture, values, and day-to-day operations. Provide essential training and resources to accelerate the integration process. 4. Performance Management System: Implement a performance management system that includes regular feedback, goal setting, and performance appraisals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Implement and manage performance appraisal processes to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with department heads to provide guidance on performance-related matters. 5. Technology Integration: Implement HR technology solutions to streamline processes such as hiring, payroll, time tracking, and employee data management. Leverage technology for data-driven decision-making in HR. 6. Organizational Culture: Champion the company's values, mission, and vision, creating a workplace that reflects diversity and inclusion. Spearhead initiatives to boost employee morale and strengthen team cohesion. Develop programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Employee Relations: Cultivate a diverse and inclusive workplace, fostering engagement through impactful initiatives. Address and resolve employee concerns, promoting a culture of transparent communication and collaboration. 10. Scaling Strategies: Develop scalable HR strategies that can adapt to the start-up’s growth. Anticipate and plan for HR needs as the company expands. Qualifications: 1. MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 2. 3-5 yrs of experience in HR management or a similar leadership role. 3. Profound knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. 4. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 5.
