Position Title: Accountant Manager (Diamonds)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Tally Prime, data entry, Excel, GST, and TDS. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management & Supervision
• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial tasks.
• Review work performed by junior accountants, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Accounting & Financial Management
• Oversee and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Tally Prime (or equivalent accounting software).
• Review journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, and other accounting processes.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles efficiently.
• Finalization of Accounts
• Prepare and finalize Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and other financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Conduct variance analysis and present financial performance insights to management.
• Audit & Statutory Compliance
• Coordinate and manage internal, statutory, and tax audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance with auditor requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and schedules to support audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other statutory norms.
• GST, TDS & Taxation
• Oversee preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and related reconciliations.
• Ensure timely payments and compliance with indirect and direct tax obligations.
• Coordinate with tax consultants for tax planning and assessment matters.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting
• Prepare management reports, MIS summaries, and financial dashboards for decision-making.
• Utilize Excel and analytical tools for data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
• Banking, Coordination & Communication
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting or financial queries.
• Support senior management in strategic financial planning and cost optimization initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Chartered Accountant, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas).
• Experience with GST and TDS compliance.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
