Job Description

As the Human Resources Director for a Mid-Size German Engineering Company based in Chennai, with regular travel to the Plant in Goa and Regional Offices, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of manufacturing through strategic HR leadership and people-centric growth. With 15-16 years of experience in HR, including proven leadership in multinational or mid-size industrial organizations, you will lead HR strategies that align with business goals, drive workforce planning, and enhance organizational performance. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for transforming culture, driving people initiatives for future growth, and building a resilient organization. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with the executive team to align HR strategies with business goals, acting as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director on human capital matters, and engaging with global HR peers to ensure alignment with international standards and best practices. You will champion a high-performance culture that reflects the company's values, lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, and drive HR strategies that support the new investment project and facilitate smooth workforce transitions during expansions. In addition, you will oversee end-to-end recruitment for various functions, drive performance management initiatives, develop HR strategies specific to Sales Teams and Manufacturing Operations, foster strong employee relations, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across India and global markets. Your role will also involve leading digital HR transformation initiatives to optimize recruitment, engagement, and HR analytics. To be successful in this role, you should have a Masters in Human Resource Management (HRM) from one of India's Top 10 institutes specializing in HRM, 15-16 years of progressive HR experience, strategic thinking abilities, expertise in Sales HR Management, Manufacturing HR Strategy, Operations Performance Management, talent acquisition, and leveraging HR Metrics for business impact. Experience with multi-generational workforce management and digital HR transformation is essential. HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR are considered a plus, and a willingness to travel frequently to the manufacturing plant in Goa and regional offices across India is required.,
