Job Description

As the Head of Human Resources at a leading German Engineering Company in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of manufacturing through strategic HR leadership and people-centric growth. With operations in Pumps and Systems and Analyzing and Testing, you will lead HR initiatives across the corporate office, manufacturing plant in Goa, and regional offices in India. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will go beyond traditional HR functions to drive culture transformation, enhance employee engagement, and build a resilient organization. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with the executive team to align HR strategies with business goals, acting as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director on human capital matters, and engaging with global HR peers to ensure alignment with international standards. You will champion a high-performance culture that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and drive innovation, and spearhead change management and digital HR transformation to meet future business demands. You will oversee end-to-end recruitment for critical business areas, drive performance management initiatives aligned with organizational goals, and develop HR strategies to support the new investment project and facilitate smooth workforce transitions during expansions. Additionally, you will lead HR strategies specific to Sales Teams and Manufacturing Operations, partner with Sales and Operations Leadership to drive talent acquisition and training, and foster strong employee relations while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Your role will also involve driving leadership development, employee upskilling, and continuous learning initiatives, as well as leading competitive compensation benchmarking, benefit structuring, and reward and recognition programs to attract and retain top talent. Furthermore, you will lead digital HR transformation initiatives to optimize recruitment, engagement, and HR analytics. To excel in this role, you should have 15-16 years of progressive HR experience in multinational or mid-size manufacturing organizations, a Masters in Human Resource Management from one of India's Top 10 institutes specializing in HRM, expertise in Sales HR Management, Manufacturing HR Strategy, and Operations Performance Management, as well as experience with multi-generational workforce management and digital HR transformation. HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR are a plus, and willingness to travel frequently to the manufacturing plant in Goa and regional offices across India is required.,
