Job Title: HR Manager – Salon Division
Department: Human ResourcesReporting To: Managing Director Location: PuneEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob Overview:The HR Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources across company-owned and franchise salon outlets. This role involves overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations while ensuring that all HR practices align with the brand’s policies, standards, and statutory compliance. The HR Manager will act as a key link between management, salon staff, and franchise partners to maintain a healthy and professional work environment.Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Staffing:• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified salon professionals (Hairdressers, Beauticians, Managers, Front Desk Executives, etc.).• Coordinate with Operations and Franchise teams to understand manpower requirements at outlets.• Conduct interviews, shortlist candidates, and manage the end-to-end hiring process.• Maintain a talent pool database for future requirements.2. Onboarding & Induction:• Design and conduct structured onboarding programs for new employees.• Ensure documentation completion (joining forms, ID proof, contracts, etc.).• Introduce employees to brand culture, SOPs, and HR policies.3. Employee Relations & Engagement:• Maintain regular communication with outlet staff to understand and resolve HR-related issues.• Handle employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions professionally.• Plan and execute employee engagement activities and team-building sessions.• Promote a positive workplace culture and uphold brand ethics.4. Performance Management:• Implement and monitor performance evaluation systems for all roles.• Support outlet managers in conducting appraisals, counseling sessions, and goal-setting.• Identify training needs and coordinate with training teams for staff skill enhancement.5. Attendance, Leave & Payroll Coordination:• Oversee attendance records and ensure compliance with salon working hours.• Manage leave policies and approvals.• Coordinate with the accounts/payroll department for timely salary disbursement and incentives.6. HR Compliance & Policy Implementation:• Ensure compliance with labor laws and other statutory requirements.• Maintain updated HR records and employee files.• Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures across all outlets.• Conduct periodic audits to ensure policy adherence at franchise locations.7. Franchise Support:• Provide HR guidance to franchise owners regarding recruitment, employee management, and policy compliance.• Conduct HR audits and review staff performance at franchise outlets.• Ensure brand HR SOPs are uniformly implemented across all locations.Key Skills & Competencies:• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.• Sound knowledge of HR operations, labor laws, and payroll systems.• Experience in managing frontline teams and multi-location operations.• Proactive, approachable, and professional demeanor.• Ability to work in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment.Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field.• 3 to 5 years of HR experience (preferably in the beauty, retail, hospitality, or service industry).• Experience handling HR operations for multiple branches/outlets is an advantage.Remuneration:Commensurate with experience and industry standards.
