Key Responsibilities
HR/People Operations & Execution
Manage HR operations end-to-end: hiring, onboarding, contracts, exits, and payroll coordination.
E
nsure daily attendance, WFH approval, and performance reporting discipline.Enforce company HR policies a
nd employee handbook across all teams.- Maintain transparent OKR and review processes for all roles.
Drive performance accountability across departments — no exceptions.
Legal & Compliance
- Draft and maintain
employment agreements, NDAs, contractor letters, and MoUs
. - Coordinate with the founder and legal advisors on all statutory and regulatory filings.
- Manage
employee terminations, notice period settlements, and full & final processes
with legal backing. - Handle labor law, compliance documentation, and inter-entity contracting.
Proactively handle potential employee grievances, notice threats, or misuse of confidential data.
- Maintain an internal repository for all legal & compliance documents.
Governance & Policy
- Implement and monitor internal policies: leave, hybrid/WFH, confidentiality, and workplace conduct.
- Audit compliance across payroll, taxation, and employment law.
- Build an HR & Legal dashboard that ensures
audit readiness and founder visibility
. - Support compliance readiness for upcoming investor due diligence and audits.
Founder & CEO, Leadership Support
- Work directly with the Founder & CEO to preempt any potential HR or legal and compliance risks.
- Ensure that every team action is
documented, compliant, and defensible
. Manage confidential communication and support strategic people operations.
Who You Are
- Experienced in
both HR and Legal/Compliance operations
— ideally from a startup or fast-growth company. - You can
draft a contract
, resolve a dispute
, and run an HR review
— all in one day. You understand the fine line between “startup flexibility” and “legal exposure.”
Hands-on, reliable, and not afraid to take ownership or enforce accountability.
- A calm, diplomatic operator who always has the Founder’s back.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in HR & Legal operations (preferably in startups / SMEs).
- Strong grasp of Indian labor law, employment contracts, and statutory compliance.
- Comfortable drafting HR and legal documents independently.
- Excellent written communication & documentation skills.
- Experience working with legal counsel and CA/CS teams.
- Immediate joiner preferred — full-time, in-office role (Gurugram).
Compensation & Growth
- Base Salary: ₹8 – 13 LPA base
- Bonus: 1 LPA Performance-based (linked to compliance, delivery, and retention metrics)
- ESOPs: Potential consideration post 12-month performance review
- Reporting: Directly to
