Job Description

We have an Urgent opening for “HR Head” for our organization Indian Chain Pvt. Ltd. for Kolkata location.

Role purpose: An HR Head is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. Key duties include overseeing all HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation; ensuring legal compliance; managing the HR department budget; and acting as a liaison between management and employees. The role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, and leadership to support employee development and organizational goals.

Important: MBA is required for this role.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute HR strategies to support business objectives, align with company goals, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee the entire recruitment and selection process, including hiring, onboarding, and negotiating employment agreements.
  • Performance and Development: Manage performance appraisal systems, identify training needs, and implement programs to support employee development and motivation.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Develop and manage compensation structures, benefits packages, and wellness programs.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing grievances, disputes, and other employee relations matters.
  • Compliance and Policy: Ensure the organization complies with all labor laws and regulations, and develop and implement HR policies and procedures accordingly.
  • HR Operations: Oversee HR operations, manage the HR department budget, and maintain employee records.
  • Leadership and Reporting: Lead the HR team, provide decision-making support to senior management through HR analytics, and report on key HR metrics.

Qualifications required:

· Preferably Bachelor’s degree with specialisation in HRM.

· Candidate must have good behaviour.

· Excellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural).

· Must be good in interpersonal communication and relationship..

· Must have: patience and people managing ability.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in the same role.

· Knowledge HR process is compulsory.

· Excellent negotiation skills.

· Analytical, results-driven, assertive, ability to manage multiple priorities.

Skills required:

· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze customer demand, competitor activity, and sales trends.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer systems, advance level of MS Office suit, and Google sheet, excel, HR tools.

· Interpersonal relationship: Must be good in communicating to people.

· Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and manage multiple task and coordinate workflows.

Industry preference: Manufacturing/Engineering industry/ any industry.
