Position: Executive – Human resources Reporting to: Senior Manager – Human Resources Qualification and Experience: Preferable MBA or BBA in HR / Any degree Having experience in HR Department Commercial Vehicle / Passenger vehicle industry Preferable / any candidate suitable to JD 1. Recruitment and Staffing Identify manpower needs in collaboration with department heads (production, quality control, service, etc.). Source, screen, and interview candidates for technical and non-technical roles. Coordinate campus recruitment and apprentice programs (common in auto manufacturing). Ensure compliance with staffing levels and labor laws. 2. Onboarding and Induction Handle employee joining formalities and documentation. Conduct induction programs to familiarize new hires with company policies, safety protocols, and organizational culture. Coordinate with training departments for technical onboarding (especially important in plants). 3. Employee Relations and Engagement Foster a positive work environment through employee welfare activities. Act as a liaison between management and workers/unions (important in factories). Handle grievance redressal, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Support engagement activities like team-building programs, rewards, and recognition. 4. Training and Development Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and soft skills training. Collaborate with production/R&D to plan upskilling initiatives. Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness. 5. Performance Management Facilitate performance appraisal processes. Support goal-setting and KPIs for departments (e.g., production efficiency, service response time). Provide inputs to management for promotions, increments, and performance improvement plans. 6. Compliance and Labor Law Ensure adherence to labor laws, factory acts, ESI, PF, and other statutory requirements. Handle audits related to HR, payroll, and compliance. Maintain labor records and contracts with third-party vendors. 7. Payroll and Benefits Administration Collect and verify attendance, overtime, and leave data (integration with shop floor systems). Coordinate salary disbursements and statutory deductions. Manage employee insurance, bonuses, and welfare schemes. 8. HR Operations and Systems Maintain HRMS and employee databases. Prepare reports and dashboards for management (attrition, manpower status, etc.). Improve HR processes using digital tools (especially important in large auto groups). 9. Safety and Health Support Coordinate with the Safety Officer and HSE teams for workforce health initiatives. Promote wellness programs, vaccination drives, and medical check-ups.
