About Our Client

• Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve year-on-year cost reduction and additional savings.
• Identify alternative materials, suppliers, and sourcing strategies for value engineering and cost benefit.
• Continuously monitor market trends, pricing, and material availability to leverage cost advantages.
• Procurement & Contract Management
• Oversee procurement of civil, structural, MEP, and infrastructure-related materials, equipment, and services.
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle-requirement gathering, tendering, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, and purchase order issuance.
• Draft, review, and manage purchase contracts ensuring legal, commercial, and delivery clauses are well-defined.
• Monitor contract execution to ensure compliance with agreed terms and mitigate risks.
• Vendor Development & Management
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors and sub-contractors for diverse project needs.
• Assess supplier capabilities through technical, financial, and quality audits.
• Implement a robust vendor onboarding and approval process.
• Maintain a reliable, diversified vendor base to reduce dependency and ensure competitive pricing.
• Supplier Capability & Performance Monitoring
• Establish KPIs to measure supplier performance on quality, delivery timelines, responsiveness, and cost effectiveness.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and feedback sessions with suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement programs with key suppliers to enhance quality, delivery, and innovation.
• Cost Control & Budget Adherence
• Ensure procurement activities are aligned with project budgets and BOQs.
• Track material cost indices and project-specific budget variations.
• Implement systems to avoid excess procurement, wastage, or duplication.
• Risk Management:
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with departmental activities, such as supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and regulatory changes.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential issues and ensure business continuity.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and motivate a team of Tendering and procurement professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to enhance team performance and individual development.
  

The Successful Applicant

• E./B.Tech (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical)
• MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Materials Management
• Proven experience in procurement, tendering, and contract management, preferably in the industrial infrastructure sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyse market trends, and make strategic recommendations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools for sourcing, contract management, and spend analysis.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical conduct.
• Must have single handedly - handled construction material incl cement, steel, PEB, sheeting & cladding, MEP items - HVAC, generators, transformers, Plumbing, piping compressors, firefighting, shutters, door - windows, interiors and related items.
