Key Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive

  Supply Chain Strategy

  ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement with strong focus on

  Just-In-Time (JIT)

  principles.
• Establish, nurture, and manage long-term

  vendor relationships

  , ensuring quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness.
• Drive

  standardization of bought-out items

  in collaboration with Design, Engineering, and Project teams to enhance procurement efficiency.
• Implement modern

  inventory and stock analysis techniques

  to minimize excess stock and optimize working capital.
• Identify and execute

  cost-saving initiatives

  across procurement, subcontracting, and stores functions to improve overall profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan

  logistics and transportation

  , minimizing costs while ensuring timely material delivery to project sites.
• Present

  MIS reports

  for pre-order and post-order status across projects, aligned with the defined Communication Matrix.

People & Stakeholder Management

• Build, mentor, and lead a

  high-performing SCM team

  , fostering a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven culture.
• Engage effectively with

  internal stakeholders

  (Engineering, Projects, Finance, Design) and

  external stakeholders

  (vendors, contractors, logistics partners) to ensure seamless execution.

Operational Responsibilities

• Refine, update, and maintain the

  SCM Manual, SOPs, formats, and documentation

  .
• Oversee day-to-day operations of

  Supply Chain and Contracts

  functions, ensuring compliance with established processes and policies.
• Monitor and analyse key

  SCM performance metrics

  such as lead times, vendor performance, inventory turnover, and cost efficiencies.
• Proactively identify and resolve operational bottlenecks that may impact project timelines, cost, or profitability.

Process & Governance

• Design and enforce robust

  procurement, vendor management, and inventory control processes

  to streamline operations and reduce lead times.
• Implement effective

  planning and budgeting practices

  to optimize fund utilization and avoid unnecessary capital blockage.
• Strengthen governance, compliance, and risk management across SCM activities.

Qualification

• Engineering background with a

  Master’s degree from a reputed university

  (preferred).

Experience

• 20+ years of relevant experience

  in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Vendor Management, and Inventory Control, preferably in project-based or engineering-driven organizations.
